The Enneagram
The Enneagram is a powerful tool for personal reflection, relationship building, and collective collaboration. This personality spectrum uses simple, shared language to illustrate archetypes of psychology and divine humanity. While there have been references to its wisdom for thousands of years-It is neither secular nor spiritual, but somewhere in between.
This theory says there are 9 broad types of people, each with their own unique motivations, fears, challenges, and inspirations. In this world, each type has a distinctive relationship with the other types—connected by the lines on the Enneagram Web (image to the left). This creates a web of psycho-social mechanisms and an invitation to develop each type’s energy within us.
The Enneagram also gives us helpful directions when we are in our unique places of stress and growth. It’s an invitation to follow a map that guides us to our best selves.
(Image Description: A large circle with the numbers 1-9 surrounding. Each number is connected to two other numbers by straight lines. 1 is connected to 4 and 7, 2 is connected to 4 and 8, 3 is connected to 9 and 6, 4 is connected to 1 and 2, 5 is connected to 8 and 7, 6 is connected to 9 and 3, 7 is connected to 5 and 1, 8 is connected to 5 and 2, 9 is connected to 6 and 3)
CONNECTION, INTEGRATION, AND LIBERATION
The Enneagram is a tool that we can use to make meaning of our lives, understand the world around us, and to bring language to what’s happening inside our bodies. When we are able to share that language, we can connect and empathize with each other in ways that were otherwise unimaginable. This allows us to build up our communities to be resilient through conflict and thrive in collaboration.
Integrating Enneagram theory into everyday life can be challenging. While there are many resources out there, they tend to be inaccessible, expensive, and highly focused solely on self work rather than collective collaboration. Our practice focuses on real-life applications of this theory with the people closest to you so that we can grow in community together.
The Enneagram has changed the lives of millions of people. It allows us to see ourselves and each other through a helpful lens that is rooted in the the good of each other, and the grace to grow through our challenging patterns. As practitioner Ian Morgan Cron would say- the Enneagram does not put you in a box, but rather, reveals the box you are already in, and, how to get out of it. Doing this work can be really challenging alone—but that’s why we’re in this together!
REFLECTION matters
Harm can happen to us and happen by us. We know that the most harm can happen when we are not taking the time to reflect on our needs and reactions—especially if we hold identities with power. There are many tools in the world to do this work; but so often, we hit road blocks on our way to find our best selves.
Working together in a positive, trauma-informed practice allows for the deep reflection required for sustainable growth in ourselves.

about our counselor
Angela is a queer, radical Enneagram practitioner, organizer, and social worker. She has been studying the intersections between relationships, Community Organizing, group dynamics, psychology, and the Enneagram for the last 14 years.
She has spent the last 6 years integrating Enneagram theory into local Community Organizing and Working Teams efforts. Angela has found tons of success building stronger communities and organizing collectives when using intentional reflection and communication techniques through an Enneagram Lens.
Raised with southern Italian & Catholic roots- Angela seeks to reclaim the good from the Enneagram’s history tied to Catholicism and reconstruct parts that perpetuate oppression.
With nearly a decade of experience in full-time group work, social/relational theories and practice; Angela has honed her skills to provide an organic and nuanced approach to facilitation. She has supported a wide array of individuals, couples, grassroots collectives, and teams in utilizing the power of the Enneagram towards collective resilience.
